JANET JACKSON’S JANET. COMMANDS L.DK WEEKLY TOP 50 FOR THIRD WEEK!

Plus: New Certifications for Joni Mitchell & Taylor Swift!

Janet Jackson leads the Top 50 for a third consecutive week with her 1993 self-titled record. The title sold a further 82,000 copies in the latest tracking week – down 10 percent.

janet. has now been certified Platinum for selling over 300,000 copies. It is Jackson’s first album to achieve this!

Jackson’s chart-topping Rhythm Nation 1814 holds steady at No.5 on sales of 29,000 copies (down 9 percent).

Lana Del Rey’s six-week-leader Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd moves 3-2, selling 60,000 copies (down 2 percent).

Jessie Ware’s four-week-ruler That! Feels Good! lifts one spot to No.3, moving 39,000 copies (down 9 percent).

Joni Mitchell’s Court and Spark – which previously ruled the Top 50 for a whopping twelve weeks – ascends 6-4, moving 30,000 copies (down 7 percent).

Court has now been certified Diamond for selling more than 3 million copies, having sold 3,022,000 to date!

It is the 5th quickest album to cross the Diamond milestone, passing Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born (63 weeks), but falling short of Taylor Swift’s evermore (52 weeks).

Outside the Top Five: Beyonce’s RENAISSANCE rebounds 7-6 (28,000 units – down 10 percent) after five weeks at the summit.

Adele’s 30 rounds out the Top Ten, stationary at No.10, after spending seventeen weeks at number-one (22,000 units – on par with last week).

Taylor Swift’s seventeen-week-ruler folklore improves 8-7 (28,000 sold – up 16 percent), reaching its highest rank since the chart dated September 5th 2022 when it placed at No.4. folklore has now clocked up a whopping 156 weeks – or three years – inside the Top 50! It is one of only 12 albums to achieve this.

Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) tumbles 2-8 in its sophomore week (27,000 units – down 64 percent). The album has now been certified Gold for moving over 100,000 copies.

Tina Turner’s No.4-peaking Private Dancer is steady at No.9 (22,000 units – down 4 percent); and Adele’s 30 caps the Top Ten, steady at No.10 (20,000 units – down 8 percent).

Onto Next Week: Janet Jackson could be bound for a fourth straight week in the lead with janet. looking to sell over 70,000 copies.
