Lana Del Rey still leads Top 50!

Del Rey celebrates a month at number-one with Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.
Lana Del Rey scores a fourth consecutive week atop the L.dK Weekly Top 50 with Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd. The album sold a further 114,000 units in its fourth frame on sale, marking an 18 percent dip in sales.
With a whole month at the summit of the charts, Ocean Blvd now ranks as Del Rey’s longest-running chart-topper since 2021’s Chemtrails Over the Country Club which ruled for a total of nine weeks. It passes Blue Banisters – also 2021 – which logged a three-week stay at the top spot.
After just four weeks on sale, Ocean Blvd has already become the 2nd bestselling album 2023 to date, selling 750,000 copies passing Joni Mitchell’s Court and Spark (679,000 sold). It trails only Beyonce’s RENAISSANCE, which has sold 791,000 units since the beginning of the year.
Del Rey also holds the No.9 spot this week with her evergreen Norman Fucking Rockwell!, selling a further 25,000 copies (up 19 percent). It has now spent a record-padding 143 weeks inside the Top Ten!
Beyonce’s RENAISSANCE stays at No.2 after five weeks at the number-one spot, shifting 53,000 copies (down 18 percent); Joni Mitchell’s twelve-week-ruler Court and Spark sails 5-3 with 38,000 sold (even with last week); Caroline Polachek’s No.2-peaking Desire, I Want to Turn Into You is a non-mover at No.4, on sales of 33,000 copies (down 21 percent); Paramore’s No.3-peaking This is Why rounds out the Top Five as it drops 3-5, selling 32,000 units (down 26 percent)
Outside the Top Five: First Aid Kit’s No.2-hit Palomino rebounds 7-6 (27,000 sold – down 3 percent); Miley Cyrus’s chart-topping Endless Summer Vacation slips 6-7 (27,000 units – down 12 percent); and Adele’s seventeen-week-leader 30 keeps at No.8 (26,000 sold – on par with last week).
The Kooks round out the Top Ten once again with The Best of … So Far keeping pace at No.10 (20,000 units – even with last week).
Onto Next Week: Lana Del Rey’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd? is gunning for a fifth week in pole position, with sales of over 100,000 units.
